How long does it take to charge using only Solar Panel ?

In Australia, with a 170W solar panel and average daily sunlight of around 7 hours, it would take approximately 7 days to fully charge the battery.

This estimate assumes ideal conditions with consistent sunlight. However, the charging time can vary depending on the season:

In Summer: Longer daylight hours mean the battery may charge in 5-6 days.

In Winter: Shorter days and less sunlight may extend the charging time to 8-9 days.

Weather conditions like clouds or rain may also affect charging efficiency.

If the machine is used more frequently, you can also use the built-in AC charging port to connect to a household power source. This method charges the battery much faster, taking approximately 5-6 hours to fully recharge.

Why We Use a Solar System on Our Wheel Loader ?

Integrating a solar system into our wheel loader isn’t just a feature—it’s a forward-thinking solution that aligns with sustainability, efficiency, and operational convenience. Here’s why:

1. Environmental Responsibility

By harnessing clean, renewable solar energy, we reduce reliance on traditional power sources. This helps lower carbon emissions, promoting a greener and more sustainable future in construction, agriculture, and industrial operations.

2. Cost-Effective Operations

Solar power offers a long-term economic benefit. For operators with low or moderate usage, solar energy reduces the need for frequent recharging through traditional electricity, helping save on energy costs over time.

3. Enhanced Battery Longevity

The solar panel continuously maintains the battery’s charge while the machine is parked outdoors, preventing deep discharges that could shorten battery life. This means fewer replacements and lower maintenance costs.

4. Uninterrupted Performance in Remote Areas

For operations in locations with limited or no access to electrical power, the solar system provides a reliable energy source, ensuring the machine remains operational when needed.

5. Adaptable for Low Usage Scenarios

Ideal for light-duty tasks, such as intermittent material handling or low-frequency operations, the solar system can support daily activities without requiring frequent AC recharging.

Incorporating a solar system on our wheel loader is about delivering value—not just to our customers, but to the environment and the future of sustainable machinery.
